2026 Holiday Schedule
The City of Fredericksburg offices, including City Hall, Recycling Center, Landfill, Animal Shelter, Municipal Court, Police Department offices and the Gillespie County Health Division will be closed on the following days:
- Thursday, January 1, 2026 - New Year's Day
- Monday, January 19, 2026 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Monday, February 16, 2026 - Presidents Day
- Monday, March 2, 2026 - Texas Independence Day
- Friday, April 3, 2026 - Good Friday
- Monday, May 25, 2026 - Memorial Day
- Friday, July 3, 2026 - Independence Day
- Friday, August 28, 2026 - Gillespie County Fair
- Monday, September 7, 2026 - Labor Day
- Wednesday, November 11, 2026 - Veterans Day
- Thursday & Friday, November 26 & 27, 2026 - Thanksgiving
- Thursday & Friday, December 24 & 25, 2026 - Christmas
There are no garbage collection holidays. Garbage will continue to be picked up as regularly scheduled.
