The City of Fredericksburg will hold a General Election on Saturday, May 2, 2026 to elect a Mayor and two City Councilmembers.
On the ballot in 2026 are two candidates - Randy Briley and Emily Kirchner - for mayor as incumbent Jeryl Hoover has chosen to not seek reelection. There are also four candidates for the two council seats - incumbent Tony Klein, Charlie Kiehne, Jerry Luckenbach and Gary Neffendorf.
All voting will take place at the Gillespie County Elections Office at 95 Frederick Rd. Early voting by personal appearance will start on Monday, April 20, with no voting on Tuesday, April 21 (San Jacinto Day). It will then continue Wednesday, April 22 through Friday, April 24 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. No voting will be held on Saturday or Sunday, April 25-26, but early voting will continue from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28.
On Election Day, the voting location will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
