From the beginning of Fredericksburg's history, City planners wanted parks to have a large presence in the design of Fredericksburg. Parks are interspersed throughout the city.

Facility reservations for Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park may be made starting just after midnight each night, 365 days in advance, or over the phone or in-person at LBJ Municipal Park Headquarters during regular hours, if the facility is still available.
