Town Pool Splashpad
The Fredericksburg Morning Rotary Club is proposing to fund a splashpad at Tony Knopp Town Pool. The proposal includes three options and they are:
- Option #1: leave Town Pool as is; a pool with green space and no splashpad
- Option #2: Add a splashpad in the current green space behind Town Pool
- Option #3: Convert/retrofit Town Pool into a larger splashpad and keep the current green space. @(Model.BulletStyle == CivicPlus.Entities.Modules.Layout.Enums.BulletStyle.Decimal ? "ol" : "ul")>
Parks & Recreation staff made a presentation to City Council on Monday, July 19, 2021, to discuss the three options.
In addition, two public meetings have been scheduled for Thursday, July 29, 2021, and Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., at the Tatsch House located inside Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park, 432 Lady Bird Drive (Tatsch House is directly across from the entrance to Park Pool).
The meetings will start with a presentation and end with a question and answer period to receive feedback on the three options. City Council will make a decision by August 16, 2021, to move forward with a referendum this November.
