Divisions
Patrol Division
The Patrol Division is responsible for maintaining public safety through regular patrols, responding to emergency calls, and enforcing laws. Officers in this division handle a wide range of incidents, from traffic violations to criminal activity, and work to prevent crime through visibility and community engagement. They play a key role in ensuring a safe environment for the community.
Criminal Investigation Division
The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is responsible for conducting follow-up investigations on reports of crimes. This includes gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and working to solve cases. The division also includes an evidence technician who handles the collection, preservation, and processing of evidence to support investigations and ensure the integrity of cases.
Special Services Division
The Special Services Division manages specialized assignments, training, and code enforcement, while also coordinating community outreach events. Officers in this division conduct training programs, oversee specialized law enforcement tasks, enforce local codes and ordinances, and engage with the community through events aimed at fostering positive relationships and promoting public safety.
Animal Control & Shelter
The Animal Control Officers and Shelter work to ensure the safety and well-being of animals in the community. They respond to calls regarding lost, stray, or injured animals, enforce local animal laws, and provide shelter for animals in need. The shelter serves as a safe haven for animals awaiting adoption or reunification with their owners, while also promoting responsible pet ownership and animal welfare within the community.
