The Building Division's goal is to safeguard the public health, safety, and general welfare through compliance with the adopted building codes, ordinances, policies and procedures affiliated with structural strength, means of egress, sanitation, ventilation, lighting and energy conservation. The Building Division reviews plans for all properties within the City of Fredericksburg and performs inspections related to development.
All permits, inspections and contractor registrations/renewals are now processed through the MGO Customer Connect Portal.
