Fredericksburg, Texas – The City of Fredericksburg will hold a General Election on Saturday, May 2, to elect a Mayor and two City Councilmembers.
All voting will take place at the Gillespie County Elections Office at 95 Frederick Rd.
On Election Day, the voting location will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Early voting by personal appearance will take place on Monday, April 20, and continue through Friday,April 24 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. No voting will be held on Saturday or Sunday, April25-26, but early voting will continue from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28.
On the ballot in2026 are two candidates - Randy Briley and Emily Kirchner - for Mayor as incumbent Jeryl Hoover has chosen to not seek reelection. There are also four candidates for the two council seats - incumbent Tony Klein, Charlie Kiehne, Jerry Luckenbach and Gary Neffendorf.
Voting in the General Election is open to qualified and registered voters within the City of Fredericksburg. A photo ID must be presented to vote in all Texas elections. To view the list of acceptable forms of ID and voting requirements, click here.
