Mural Project to Celebrate America’s 250th

Fredericksburg, Texas – The City of Fredericksburg is inviting residents to take part in a community art project commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

In partnership with Mural Mosaic, an internationally recognized public art company, the City will host a free, hands-on art experience where participants will paint individual tiles that will come together to form a large-scale mural. Once completed, the mural will be installed at the new City Hall at East Campus, serving as a symbol of community, creativity and patriotism.

Participants must register in advance at no cost to reserve a date and time to paint their tile. Unlike simple craft projects, this is a more advanced art experience. Each participant will follow specific instructions and use assigned paint colors to ensure every tile contributes to the final cohesive image.

“This project is about more than painting—it’s about coming together as a community to create something that will last for generations,” Special Events Coordinator Jennifer Krupa said. “As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, this mural will reflect the shared pride, history and unity of Fredericksburg.”

Once installed, participants will be able to locate their individual tile, knowing they played a direct role in creating a piece of Fredericksburg’s history.

Registration details, painting dates, and times will be announced soon. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
