Public Works Bolsters Staff With Additions, Promotion

Fredericksburg, Texas – The City of Fredericksburg Public Works Department recently promoted Kyle Treibs to Electric Department Superintendent and welcomed two new staff members Darren Eckhardt (Construction Inspector) and Seth Moellering (Maintenance Technician).

 

Treibs has worked in the Electric Department for 22 years, including the last year as the Assistant Superintendent, one year as a groundman, four years as a lineman apprentice and 16 years as a lineman. He has completed various training programs, including TEEX Meter School, AVO Electric Safety and courses in substation maintenance, staking and fiber optics. Treibs' responsibilities now include substation breaker programming, SCADA, CT meter testing, and fiber optic system installation. He is married to Carin with two daughters: Jayecee and Bailee. 

 

Before joining Public Works in February, Eckhardt spent 14 years with the City, including 12 years in the Street Department and two years in the Finance Department. He holds an associate degree in business from Central Texas College and a bachelor's degree in business/personal finance from Texas Tech University. In his new role, Eckhardt oversees construction projects, manages the City-owned and Enterprise lease fleet, and assists Public Works departments. He has been married to his wife Robyn for 14 years, and they have two children, Case and Madyson. Outside of work, he enjoys watching his kids' activities, hunting and spending time with family and friends.

 

In January, Moellering came to the City, after nine years with Peterson Health in Kerrville. He holds two associate degrees: one in facilities maintenance and management, and another in industrial maintenance and engineering. In his new role, Moellering is responsible for maintaining, upkeeping and updating the facilities of the City. He is married to McKenzie, and they have a daughter, Myra, with another child on the way.
