Fredericksburg, Texas – The City of Fredericksburg has made the decision to reschedule the sixth annual City Hall Open House & Touch-A-Truck event to Thursday, April 3 due to the forecast of inclement weather.

Originally scheduled for Thursday, March 27, from 3:30 to 7 p.m., the event will be held a week later at the same time on Marktplatz. During the rescheduled event, the Fredericksburg Farmers Market will also take place under Adelsverein Halle from 4 to 7 p.m.

The Open House & Touch-A-Truck event is an opportunity for the community to learn about City departments, services and projects and will allow you to get up close to your trucks, cars and equipment.

This year will feature trucks and many pieces of equipment and machinery used by City crews to perform their services to the community. Trucks and equipment to be on site will include garbage trucks, fire trucks, backhoes, police cars, and more.

There will be lots of activities and giveaways for children, and don’t forget about FREE ice cream provided by Clear River Ice Cream & Bakery. J&B Foods will also be on-site selling hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, and other treats.

Children will be encouraged to play Department Bingo while at the event. The children that visit all the booths on their bingo sheet can enter to win a chance to ride in a police car or fire truck to school. Children do not need to be present to win.
