About F.I.R.S.T.
The City of Fredericksburg has initiated a program called F.I.R.S.T. (Fredericksburg Immediate Response Saving Texans). LCRA funding of $24,000 was used to begin this program. As part of this program, the Emergency Medical Services Department has started collecting data regarding the locations of Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) in Fredericksburg and throughout Gillespie County.
AED Location Map
The City of Fredericksburg believes it is important for our citizens and visitors to know the locations of AEDs in the event of a cardiac emergency. We have created a map that displays the locations of AEDs housed in various businesses and organizations.
When an AED location is queried, information including the business / organization, the address, and the number of AEDs is displayed.
As more businesses and organizations choose to participate in the AED Location Program, this map will be updated with the current information as it becomes available.
