Only garbage generated within Gillespie County may be accepted into the City of Fredericksburg Sanitary Landfill.
Operating Hours and Services
The landfill is open from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is closed on Sundays and holidays. The facility offers a range of services, including automated refuse collection for approximately 5,500 residential customers, brush chipping, and leaf collection programs. These materials are processed into compost and mulch, which are sold to recover costs.
