Gillespie County Health Division

The Gillespie County Health Division provides environmental health services to the citizens and visitors of Gillespie County.

The Gillespie County Health Division responsibilities include: 

• Inspections in accordance with state law of all food service establishments:
  •  restaurants / catering
  • wine tasting rooms / bars
  • schools / childcare facilities 
  • groceries / convenience stores 
  • mobile food units
  • temporary event food booths   
• Investigate all health related complaints.
• Provide training and education for food service personnel and general public.
• Environmental health inspections for public schools, childcare facilities, and foster homes.
• Inspections on municipal pools and playgrounds.
• Conduct plan reviews on new and remodeled facilities.
