  1. Fort Martin Scott Living History Days

    July 3, 2021, 10:00 AM - July 4, 2021, 5:00 PM @ Fort Martin Scott

    Living History/Reenactors will be set up at the fort celebrating life on the frontier and at the fort throughout the 1800's during the July 4th weekend. Soldiers, Texas Rangers, Native Americans, and settlers will have their camps all around the parade ground. During the day there will be cannon firing, small arms demonstrations, and other frontier life skills for the whole family to enjoy. Come learn about a soldier's life at the fort, or the settlers having to learn to survive through all the hardships they had to encounter. Visit a Texas Rangers camp as they prepare for their next patrol. Scheduled cannon and weapons demonstrations at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Fort Martin Scott is located at 1606 E. Main Street in Fredericksburg and open 10 am to 5 pm Thursdays through Mondays. Closed Tuesday and Wednesdays.   2. Fourth of July Kiddie Parade sponsored by VFW Post 7105

    July 4, 2021, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM @ Marktplatz

    The Fredericksburg Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 7105 hosts the July Fourth “kiddie parade." This event is for children 12 years of age or younger. The event is free to any child who wants to participate. The VFW Post sponsors this event to encourage patriotism at a young age and to permit the expression of American ideals. The parade is totally supported by the VFW Post with member volunteers and VFW Post funds.

  3. Fourth of July Parade

    July 4, 2021, 1:00 PM @ Main Street, Fredericksburg

    The parade forms behind the Gillespie County Courthouse and begins at the intersection of Main and Adams streets. It travels east for three blocks on Main Street and then U-turns at Washington Street in front of the Nimitz Museum. The route then goes west on Main Street for eight (8) blocks and ends at Bowie Street. Those entries that wish to go to Market Square may turn right to Austin Street and travel back east to Market Square.

  4. Fourth of July Patriotic Program

    July 4, 2021, 2:00 PM @ Marktplatz

    The program will be held in tribute to the nation's founding and in honor of its armed forces. Bill Smallwood's Lone Star Swing Orchestra will provide patriotic music for dancing at the program. Presentation of the colors and pledge of allegiance will be provided by the FHS JROTC. Jeryl Hoover will emcee the hour-long program with Navy Capt. Michael Tatsch as a guest speaker.

  5. July 4th Fireworks Show

    July 4, 2021, 9:30 PM @ Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park

    Kona Ice will be on-site near pavilion #3 after 7 p.m. with snow cones for purchase. In addition, Texas Rebel Radio network will stream the fireworks show live on social media for those that wish to watch from home. Connect with the Texas Rebel Radio’s official Facebook page and watch for free in real time! In addition, patriotic music will be broadcast live on KNAF AM 910 to enhance your viewing experience during the fireworks show.
