Fort Martin Scott Historic Site is owned and operated by the City of Fredericksburg Parks & Recreation Department. The Advisory Committee was created by the City of Fredericksburg City Council on May 6, 2013.
The Board's stated purpose is to advise the City of Fredericksburg on issues regarding promotion, development, interpretation, curation and special events of Historic Fort Martin Scott.
Fort Martin Scott is listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service of the U.S. Department of Interior.
The Fort Martin Scott Advisory Committee represents a cross-section of individuals with expertise and interest in Fort Martin Scott and its place in the rich history of Fredericksburg, Texas.
The Fort Martin Scott Advisory Board will not meet again until after the Master Plan is adopted. This is expected to happen in May or June of 2019. For more details please contact Andrea Schmidt.
