WATER METER REPLACEMENT PROJECT UNDERWAY...

AquaMetric Logo

The City of Fredericksburg Water Division has contracted with Aqua Metrics to replace the City’s existing water meters. The installation process began last week and will take approximately three months with the project scheduled to be completed by the end of July.

Each replacement should take approximately 15 minutes per meter to complete. The contractor’s vehicles will be marked with Aqua Metrics door signs, and personnel will have name tags and company badges. In an effort to make contact with the resident/business owner, the contractor will knock on the customer’s door before replacing the water meter to see if anyone is at the location. If someone answers, the contractor will explain the change out process to the customer. If no one answers, the contractor will simply replace the water meter.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this project. Any questions or concerns about the project should be directed to Kris Kneese, Assistant Director of Public Works and Utilities, at (830)990-2035 or email KKneese@fbgtx.org.
