Pioneer Pavilion

Pioneer Pavilion Layout
Pioneer Pavilion is located off of Recreation Loop, near the Tennis Courts, at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. Pioneer Pavilion has been the location of signature events in Fredericksburg since its construction in 1971. It was built with profits from the 125th Anniversary. In 1996, funds from the the 150th Anniversary made possible a remodel.

The pavilion is designed to seat 300 to 400 comfortably. 500 is the maximum capacity for a gathering. The versatility of Pioneer Pavilion has been well documented as a banquet hall, wedding venue, and facility for large shows, conventions, public meetings, and concerts. Advanced reservation is required as Pioneer Pavilion fills up early in the year.

Facility reservations may be made starting just after midnight each night, 365 days in advance, or over the phone or in-person at LBJ Municipal Park Headquarters during regular hours, if the facility is still available. Bilingual (Spanish) speaking staff is available on Sundays from 1-5 p.m.; Mondays from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays from 5-10 p.m.
